The Chicago Bears lost to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2, and two players–defensive lineman Levi Drake Rodriguez and outside linebacker Dallas Turner could hear from the NFL following their roughing the passer calls for late hits on Caleb Williams.
During the first quarter, officials flagged Rodriguez for his infraction. However, the penalty was offset by a holding call against the Bears.
Turner followed suit in the second quarter, but he did not get bailed out by on offsetting call.

The NFL often goes above an beyond to protect quarterbacks. They fined Carolina Panthrs defensive tackle Derrick Brown for such an infraction following the Bears’ Week 1 victory on the road.
Per the NFL, fines for roughing the passer can run up to as much as $17,911 for first-time infractions and as much as $23,882 on second offenses.
Of course, the bigger concern for the Bears is the hamstring injury that Williams suffered in the fourth quarter.
It was non-contact. The third-year QB screamed out in pain as he was on the ground. He needed assistance to make it to the blue medical tent on the sideline. He was clearly emotional as he was carted into the locker room area.
