The Chicago Bears defeated the Green Bay Packers in Week 18 of the regular season, and Caleb Williams has not been shy about telling those who will listen that he is undefeated at Lambeau Field, where his heated rivals play. That has not sat well in Green Bay.
At least one player, offensive tackle Rasheed Walker, who is entering his fourth season with the Packers and third as a starter, said Williams and the Bears “got lucky.”
He also urged them to make the playoffs and noted they will remember Williams’ comments.
Bears Teammate Claps Back After Heated Rival Sends Message About Caleb Williams
Bears-Packers Chatter Gets Early Start
Walker’s comments drew a response from Bears safety Jaquan Brisker, who said, “Awwwww [laughing emojis] it’ll be okay.. I have a nice Bear for yall, so yall can sleep tight at night ! It’s a gift from me,” in a post on X on July 15.
“They got lucky,” Walker told the panel in reaction to the Bears’ win on “Good Morning Football” on July 15 before turning to Williams’ comments following the 24-22 affair. “That’s all I had to say. They got lucky. Make the playoffs. We gonna see them again this season, and we gonna remember he said that.”
“2025= 1-0,” Brisker said in a follow-up post.
Walker’s assertion has merit. The Bears have not made the postseason since 2020, meanwhile the Packers have made it in five of the last six seasons.
The Bears and Packers will also indeed face off this coming season, two times to be exact.
However, Williams’ braggadocio may stem from the fact that he also led the Bears on a would-be game-winning drive in the two teams’ first meeting of the 2024 season, only for the Packers to block Cairo Santos’ field goal attempt to seal their victory.
Bears Must Make Up Ground on Packers

The Bears have fallen behind the Packers in the all-time series, which stands at 108-96-6 Green Bay, but Williams has been clear where he stands on his unfriendly neighbors to the north.
Both contests will be intense, but the visit to Green Bay in Week 14 looms large.
Williams completed 73.3% of his passes for 379 yards, 1 touchdown, and 0 interceptions in two games against the Packers as a rookie. He added another 80 yards on 12 carries. The best way to ensure he maintains his winning ways for the Packers, Williams must up his TD production.
Former 1st-Round Pick Expects ‘Big Things’ From Caleb Williams
Williams has had a busy summer, including hanging out with producer Cole Bennett, showing off his polarizing fashion choices, getting a new tattoo, and even hanging out with fellow second-year Chicago first-round pick Matas Buzelis of the Bulls.
“That’s my boy,” Buzelis told CHGO Bulls’ Will Gottlieb in a video shared on July 15. “I don’t really watch football, honestly. I’m not a big football guy. But since he plays for the Bears and he’s the QB, I expect big things from him. I think I have to come to one of the games, because I’m always in support of my boys. That’s the main thing for me is loyalty and support.”
Big things could indeed be in store for Williams.
He now has former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as his head coach, a revamped offensive line in front of him, and a defense that seems ready to back him up.
“I love when yall cry in my comments!” Brisker said, also denouncing the ample replies from “bots” in his comment section in follow-up messages. “Keep crying… Entertain me bihhhh [laughing emojis].”
After their trip to Lambeau, Brisker, Williams, and the Bears will host the Packers in Week 16.
